What Should You Expect at Deka Cannabis?

You can browse independently or ask for help getting the right products for your preferences. What Should I Bring to a Jersey City Dispensary?

In New Jersey, you can’t simply walk into a dispensary and make a purchase. The most important thing to bring is a valid identification to prove you’re 21 or older. Driver’s licenses and passports are the most common forms of ID accepted at NJ dispensaries. Confirm that your license or passport is valid and not expired before attempting to make a purchase.

In New Jersey, you can shop for weed as a recreational or medical customer. Medical cardholders will have different buying restrictions than recreational users. If you have a medical card issued by the state, please bring it when you arrive at Deka Cannabis.

Most Jersey City dispensaries accept multiple forms of payment, including cash and credit cards. Bring along enough money to purchase all of your cannabis favorites.

What are the Buying Restrictions at a NJ Dispensary?

You can’t buy unlimited amounts of cannabis in Jersey City. Purchase limits depend on whether you’re a recreational or medical buyer. In New Jersey, dispensaries are allowed to sell up to one ounce of cannabis flower. Although you can legally only buy one ounce at a time, you’re permitted to have up to six ounces of cannabis in your possession. For medical cardholders, you’ll have higher buying limits—up to three ounces of flower.

Cannabis products, such as concentrates and edibles, will have different buying rules in New Jersey. For concentrates, like resins, you can buy up to five grams during a single transaction. For edibles, like gummies, you’re permitted up to 1,000 mg each day.

You may visit more than one dispensary in Jersey City per day, but legal buying limits are enforced. For instance, if you buy ½ ounce of flower at Deka Cannabis, you can only buy another ½ ounce if visiting another weed shop that same day.

Can You Purchase from Deka Cannabis if Living Outside of NJ?

New Jersey doesn’t prohibit out-of-state customers from purchasing cannabis products at any Jersey City dispensaries. As long as you have a valid form of identification, you’re permitted to buy the same amount of cannabis as NJ residents. However, you can’t legally travel across state borders with cannabis. The reason is because marijuana isn’t legal at the federal level. If that law ever changes, you may be able to transport the weed out of state. For now, enjoy your cannabis while in Jersey City.
